Al-Hasan al-Basri رحمه الله said:
“Humility is to leave your home and that you should not meet a Muslim except that you consider him more virtuous than yourself.”

💠 The four matters which one should never abandon as long as he is alive:
1️⃣ Do not stop from thanking Allaah for His favors or you would be deprived from getting more:
“ولئن شكرتم لأزيدنكم”
{If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]}
📚 [Surah Ibraaheem (14): 7]
🌴🌴🌴
2️⃣ And do not abandon the remembrance of Allaah or you would be deprived of Allaah’s remembrance (praises) of you in the presence of the Angels:
“فاذكروني أذكركم”
{So remember Me; I will remember you.}
📚 [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 152]
🌴🌴🌴
3️⃣ And do not abandon making Du`aa or you will be deprived of the response:
“ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ”
{Invoke Me, I will respond to your (invocation).}
📚 [Surah Ghaafir (40): 60]
🌴🌴🌴
4️⃣ And do not abandon seeking forgiveness or you will be deprived of salvation:
“ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ”
{and Allaah will not punish them while they seek (Allaah’s) Forgiveness.}
📚 [Surah al-Anfaal (8): 33]
